I think season 2 threw a lot of expectations aside when it came to Sera. I think the bad reaction to her sexually is about 1/2 them expecting her to align with Lute’s attitude towards Chaggi, which isn’t explicitly homophobic but is coded to be. The other 1/2 is people being actually homophobic.
