I wish more people had balanced takes on AI. The tech is at a point where you can't pretend it's not useful for solving certain kinds of problems. Doesn't mean you have to make it your entire personality and talk about it 24/7 or use it to generate slop or steal content.

I keep having to tell Copilot to stop using made-up words/terminology in its code analysis to sound smart. It's like we're in middle school and I'm grading an essay from a student who's trying to BS their way to an A. So frustrating.

The only proper way to start a Skyrim playthrough: 1. run past everything in the opening scene 2. kill the bandits near the guardian stones 3. clear embershard mine 4. stealth archer (implied)

Since my day job has essentially been reduced to relegating tasks to Copilot and holding its hand, fixing its mistakes, and evaluating its performance in order to provide feedback, does that mean I'm eligible for a promotion? Clearly I'm in a managerial role now.

I'm addicted to writing lists What's so great about writing lists? Good question: 1. They help me stay focused since I get distracted easily. 2. I like the feeling of crossing something off once it's done. 3. I can add as many items as I want. 4. It never stops. 5. I can't help it. 6. Please help.

"AI has stolen the parts of the job that allowed me to get into flow state. Has it done that for you too?" www.tiktok.com/@_kyleshevli... Kyle's experience is why I avoid using AI to do my work. I just don't want to give up my brain, and I don't want it to suck the joy out of the work I love.

Wrote a very low-maintenance bash script for Windows that uses robocopy to back up files from my PC to two external hard drives. It's extremely fast and better than manually copying stuff over since robocopy can detect file changes for you. Is this something that would be useful for other folks?

Thinking "oh god i hope i don't mess this up" is almost always a sure-fire way to mess something up lol Every time I am recording a guitar video, if I don't shut off my brain and I start to think about my playing, I immediately mess up every single time.
