Cycling, more cycling and a sprinkle of motorsickles. Bikes are gid 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺 Live life on 2 wheels 🙂

I’ve been taken by surprise. I’m organising a cyclocross race on Saturday. I knew Cameron Mason 3X British Champion was coming, I thought to wave the finish flag & pose for pictures. No. Actually riding. 🤩 I’m course building Friday, hope it’s one of my good ones. 🙏 #crossiscoming #crossisboss

Dang, those TT bikes are fast! My first ever TT this morning, road bike class, 29miles with a roundabout ½ way. I’m not fast, only 1 bike came by me before ½ way. Starting P1 thought I was going to get duffed up after 5mins. Enjoyed it tbf, impressed by the speed, deffo not buying a TT bike. 🙂

If you sang this who would be the person you’d think the parody was about? I'm your private chancer A chancer for money I'll do what you want me to do I'm your private chancer A chancer for money And any old Crypto will do

Entered a hilly road TT this weekend, road bike class, never done one before and…… starting first. Ahh, didn’t see that coming, no pacing against anyone else. What can possibly go wrong? 😬

Just want to say the only time I’ve ever felt at peace with the world is on a start line. Motorbike or bicycle when the flag drops / lights go out it’s a zen moment of clarity in my chaotic existence. Don’t need no diagnosis. This article hits a mark. www.bikeradar.com/advice/fitne...

I’ve been thinking about MotoGP street circuits. Liberty are mad keen on the idea. Basic issue is run off. Wide asphalt run of is fine for cars / F1 with their driver protection. Sucks for motorcycles. Which is why kitty litter still works, slows bikes & riders down when they separate.

Saw a group of female & male cyclists street riding this morning in Glasgow, looked to be from the Canadian Commonwealth Games team, which is all good & cool. Had a chuckle at their attire, full length bib tights, jackets & gillets. Guys it’s 19°C outside, this is peak BBQ weather for us. 😁

Today I made a throwaway comment but still thinking about it: The politics & cult of Grift. We have Griftians and Griftianity. Their BS is everywhere, cosseted by media barons & funded by opaque means, the so called men of the people. Call them out. Every single day. #Griftians #Griftianity

A little known fact about me is I’m a bicycle wheel bag collector. So few people knew this, I only found out myself in the last 5 minutes. 10 in that pile. 🫣

Double feel good day, only went and took that KoM I was dreaming about. Was hoping for 2 seconds, did way better! 😁 Focusing on smooth lines, but didn’t have my glasses on, so probably went faster than intended since O couldn’t see 😂 #kom

Strava KoM stats, might be for 1 night but right now it’s my KoM!

Bicyclists: 6 seconds off taking a Strava KoM last night, whilst this isn’t news, at my age you make the little wins big. 🙂 3 linked woods sections with a nice drop at the end. Don’t care if I only have it for a day, but I am going to take that KoM. 😁 For the oldies 🤘

Humble brag time: I just went to my local bicycle library & donated a big box of spares. Wheels, tyres, brakes, discs, derailleurs etc. The guys were delighted, mothers coming into look at bikes with kids at the same time made me realise I’d made a good choice. Feeling quite pleased with myself 🙂

Thought I’d look at representation in the House of Lords: SNP - 0 NI Republican - 0 NI Unionist - 11 Plaid Cymru - 2 Greens - 2 Scot Labour- 24 Scot Conservative- no separate list, total 246 members. Scot Lib Dem, no separate list, 74 members. HoL is not representative at all. Games rigged.

Another Labour election loser whose principles melt away at the first chance of a job for life without any pesky voters to worry about.

Giving a speech in Westminster, in which he also ruled out any pact or coalition with Nicola Sturgeon’s Scottish National party (SNP), Anas Sarwar said: “A central part of the mission of the Labour party must be to renew democracy.

“The House of Lords, in its current form, as an institution has no place in 21st-century politics. It is unacceptable, and has been for far too long, to have unelected representatives wielding such power.

Just heard everyone’s best buddy Mitch McConnell has decided to run in the Clacton By Election to give Count Binface a serious challenger. Mitch says CBin shouldn’t just get a coronation. Fair point.
