I’m here for discussions on electoral reform. It is worth looking at whether the 5% threshold should be lowered, or whether NZ thinks we should have four year terms. Let’s think about lowering the voting age, and enfranchising prisoners. But the referendum Luxon has in mind is not that discussion.

While I said the Bill itself was unnecessary because English already was an official language by dint of custom and practice, if we are going to bother codify, setting all 3 out together in our premier constitutional instrument seemed more elegant and egalitarian etc.
