Hi. A thread (or whatever it's called on here) on why @andreatodd.bsky.social deserves all the recognition. 1) Reading Andrea's books allows a living and breathing writer to gain a bigger readership and more income. Not like supporting millionaires. Or dead people

Writer of wrongs. Deity on paper and spreader of chaos in real life. Fan of music and comedy. Friend of many and bacon in uncertain times. Found on beacons.ai/alexmicati and sometimes insufferable.
Put 2 books out for free. As a result, 30 orders have been processed. Those are the only orders I had all month.
FYI: My 3rd novel "Manky Business" is available for free this week. Until Friday! #BookSky.
Got laid off on June 30th. Since then, it was a madhouse of outreaching. So much so that today is my first day of unplugging. What do I do? I pay the rent. (I did reach out to my landlord beforehand.)
I finished my 6th novel (first draft) today. I feel empty. Like I don't want to type. My word processors (I have a desktop and a laptop) are both open, but the spark's not there. Might be due to the fact that I juggle writing (high bandwidth) with job searching (high bandwidth)
There's nothing quite like waking up, opening your KDP reports page and seeing all those zeroes. Especially after you've told yourself that today will be a writing day. If you put "I support writers" in your bio, act on it. Buy the books. Put your money where your fingers are.
Did you know that I'm about to publish my 5th novel and that you can be immortalized in one of my next ones? No?! It's true. You can have your name in a novel of mine. How you might ask yourself? Read below. The more you buy, the higher your character ends up in the cast. What does that mean?
J'ai puisé 1 052 mots dans la fontaine de mon esprit aujourd'hui. L'errance du personnage principal de Dérouth se poursuit dans un Beyrouth bipolaire. Soyez de l'aventure, l'an prochain! #ÉcritureEnCours #RomanFrancophone #Beyrouth #LittératureLibanaise
"I will never understand the necessity of knowing about everything their fucking precious cherubs have done, at the weekend. This is a workplace, not a bloody pub." The Hidden Path, book #1 in the DI Claire Jones series, available now on Amazon and Kobo!
Day 7 of Operation Intense Outreach 2026. 5 ice-breakers scheduled for later this morning. Time to check which company is next on the list. But first, coffee. My inbox is open if your team needs an extra pair of hands.
The Hidden Path is the book I'm proudest of, so far. DI Claire Jones works a case in Lancashire that doesn't let her look away from it, and neither did I while writing it. It's out now on KDP and Kobo. If crime fiction with a strong lead and a setting that feels lived-in is your thing, enjoy!
I've been laid off, as of last week. So, I need an income while I focus on job searching. And since I can't sell pictures of my feet (you don't want to see that!), I guess the only thing left is selling my books. Well, not the ones I own, but the ones I've written.
As if writing 4 novels and a play (in 2 languages!), polishing one novel, and promoting 4 other novels wasn't enough, I just had an idea for a project. That's where you come in, reader.
I have an appointment in 70 minutes (1h10). I want it to be over.
159 years ago on the day They thought, let's build a country And have it led by Johnny A. When he's not on the booze.
Timmy and his classmates were in a farm. Timmy: Mr. Farmer sir? Farmer: Yeah, bud? T: What do you call it when someone points at a cow? (silence) F: I dunno, what? T: A moot point.
Time to write ✍️ I'm still busy writing the last third of Triad of Infinity, but in the meantime, please check out my other books. I have lots to choose from! 🥰 Also, if you can't buy or don't want to, the least you can do is share. Amazon links here: authorquillcelska.ca/publications

Finally found a boss who lets me thrive. Who? Me. 💼 This wasn't the plan six months ago. But I'm officially freelancing now — 15 years of translation & editing work, no diluted messaging, no watered-down approvals. Just the work, done right. New website's up: alexmicati-ops.github.io/Pont-francais/
20,666 words. Lights out at the Ravine is coming along. 50 pages of purely improvised writing (that means not previously handwritten)
Earlier, I took a nap. Then, I thought: should I spend money I don't have to drink in crowded places OR should I stay home and ponder my next move, after I was laid off? I did the latter. Built a freelance strategy AND a website.
Mystery writers: I’m feeling generous. The first 10 mystery authors who: 📚 Drop a link to their book in the replies, and 👀 Check out the link in my bio will get either a sale or a share from me. No guarantees which one—but you'll get one of them. Ready? Let's see what you're writing.
The other day, I saw my neighbour dancing. Now, my neighbour is a bipolar widower. So, I asked. "It takes two to tango. Me and myself are dancing."
