A real easy way I've found to get the Good Brain Chemicals is to join a crafting class and say nice things to other people about their crafts. It has to be genuine (there's always something to praise even if it's not your fave style) but the joy involved is just incredibly buoying. People just GLOW.

One reason I appreciate @margaretadelle.bsky.social is she treats erotica just like other genres. There's no hint of "this is unimportant because it's sex-centered." 'All That History' is romance, but I also write erotica. And it can be frustrating that reviewers dismiss that genre as less valid.
