Trump tries to summon a national body, but the litany is just a consumer catalog: skyscrapers, light bulbs, airplanes, assembly lines, TVs, microchips, the internet, GPS, smartphones, air conditioning. Even his fascism is privatized. Even his “people” is just a brand.

Trump stood at Mount Rushmore, a monument blasted into the sacred Black Hills on land taken from the Lakota in violation of treaty, and called it a “Marxist lie” to say America was built on stolen land. The stone itself is the rebuttal, as he was standing on it.

Trump opened his July 4th speech by saying America has no class, only individuals. Then anyone who points at the class structure becomes the “communist menace.” He is not refuting class analysis. He is criminalizing it.

Trump calls communism a threat greater than World War II, Pearl Harbor, and 9/11, but when he finally defines it, the mask drops. The “communist” is the immigrant, the criminalized, and the poor. The word is just an alarm bell wired to the property line.

Trump basically defined America in one breath: not class, not clan, not tribe, just the sovereign individual alone, equal under law and God. The American is the person with no collective. The people with no “we.” And 250 years later, they still present that isolation as freedom.

“Under God” was never part of the founding. It was added in 1954 at the height of the Red Scare to distinguish the United States from “godless communism,” transforming the Pledge into a Cold War political weapon.
