Someone knowledgeable on @atproto.com should submit a talk at Devoxx.🇧🇪. We have a "Mind The Geek" track where this would fit perfectly. I've been diving into the specs, and there's a lot of interesting stuff there. You still have a week to submit: www.devoxx.be

Finally moved to @eurosky.social. Migration was a bit scary when I needed to enter the PLC update confirmation code, and I needed to refresh the migration page before getting the code page. Now, I don't seem to be able to verify my e-mail address as I don't get a "verification code" mail.

Just booked my flight for KubeCon NA 2025. If you have to pay it out of your own pocket, better be fast when prices are low. I shouldn't have waited... the prices were lower a few days ago. Airplane tickets are like gambling.

Let's see how resilient 🦋 follows are: Light mode for the win!!! Well, except for IntelliJ, but that's because of the Darcula theme... and maybe zed (running that in dark mode 🤔)... ok, ok... my terminal is black. But that's it... I think 😶‍🌫️.

Today, I've started picking up some work on my little part of the @opentelemetry.io collector (the Google Cloud Pub/Sub receiver and exporter). After about 18 years on Gmail, I'm ready to switch. I've been frustrated for a while now with its rule engine... I use rule engines a lot, to slice and dice my mails. I've evaluated Fastmail, as an alternative, for a few days now, and it's looking good.

ok, uhhh i've got like 3 more hours in the sky club to kill. every like == 1 hot take about observability

Yesterday at the @opentelemetry.io ContribFest as #KubeCon I had a very unusual question to ask... how do I deprecate *part* of my contribution to the collector? It's not something you easily ask at an online SIG meeting, seeing people in person rules. Thanks, Antoine and Pablo for the guidance.
