Had my first “full sprint from passport control to the gate as the agent maybe does maybe doesn’t hold the gate past closing time” experience and friends, I don’t recommend it. Especially from one end of Frankfurt to the other. I made the flight though.
I’m too jet lagged to think of a funny one but the one my brain keeps coming back to (preface - everyone is fine): Kept my cool in the delivery room so my daughter’s first moments on earth would be happy while my wife was fighting for her life in the other room.

Just feels like the proposals mostly try to make it too complicated. - Make capital gains taxes progressive by income. - Add a wealth tax that is also progressive by total wealth. - Add some teeth to corporate taxes and add new exemptions to incentivize having employees.

Proposals include token taxes, robot taxes, higher capital gains, and government getting equity in AI firms (a Bernie favorite). Job displacement has gone from tech hype to fiscal reality

I think the 4.5 hour workday could be real. wake up, work with Claude for an hour or so, talk with colleagues on slack for half an hour, log off for 3.5 hours, come back when the 5h window is up, do another hour of work, log off for 4 hours, third window at EOD

Lyon, France It’s not a surprise that it’s good, what’s underappreciated is that it’s the best food city in France. Depending on your taste, could be the best food city in Europe by extension.

I have friends there and it’s certainly a famous city, but Los Angeles and I just don’t get along at all. Only place I can think of (across dozens of countries, 5 continents, much of the US) where the median person I interacted with was straight up mean.
