Adhd epiphany: The reason i want people to get to the point more quickly, skip unnecessary details, and avoid rambling in a conversation, is because it's really hard for me to mask for too long -no distractions, smile and nod, perform socially. I'm only focused bc I'm rushing to get done b4 i crack

What if humans were already on Mars. We destroyed that planet, and escaped to earth, barely surviving the trip, and starting anew. And once humans destroy earth, they escape to mars, barely surviving, starting completely over... And we just keep going back and forth like that?
I'm going to go vote in person on election day, rather than doing it early. If people show up with guns or in fatigues of some kind, I'll be there to vote in defiance of their attempts at oppression. And give them the ol' stink-eye
It's interesting. I have a great amount of empathy and caring for the people in my life. My empathy, however, is intellectual, not emotional. I understand them, feel for them, in my mind only (most of the time). I don't FEEL the empathy in my gut, heart racing, sorrow in my stomach. +
Y'all, I went to my theater for the bts concert tonight, and it's the most fun I've had since chicago! We had a bunch of people this time, feeling free to army bomb and sing and woot and laugh. Daughter now wants to go to a live bts concert, and I can't wait to introduce her to army culture
LOL my theater glitched on Mic Drop, and we were all like NOOOOOOO NoT MIC DROP! But one girl kept it up while the feed was frozen, and we sang with her. When the glitch corrected, she was almost perfectly on beat. A champion.

Re toxic positivity I think it's used too liberally. It's meant to describe someone who sees, hears, speaks no evil, and who can acknowledge negative feelings or address negative events. It's not for people who try to focus on the positive, while acknowledging the crappy things in life Also+

I recently learned from a friend I consider above avg in political awareness that she didn't know not voting for an unopposed candidate or a candidate she didn't agree with but voting the rest of the ballot was even an option. It made me wonder how many folks don't know this. Bring back civics!

Remember, if there's a race where you've decided not to vote for either candidate, that doesn't mean stay home. Leave that line blank, learn about the other races and vote in those.
Some people believe they are good people, because they didn't do/say EVERY terrible thing they wanted to. That's it. That's why they think they're good people.
Sometimes, this is the only way to get things done.

Puppy is doing well. Adorable, playful, cute The other day, i was letting my older dog outside, waiting in the doorway, and heard a long, mournful howl. I'd never heard it before. Daughter said he does it whenever he feels left out 😂
Child abuse is taken much more seriously these days. In the 80s and 90s, even with all the signs, and a child asking to talk about how unhappy they are at home, no one would listen, and no one wanted to get involved.

Today is such a weird day. I got about 5 billion calls, and a bunch were the same people calling me over and over and ov- Only for that call to not even be for me anyway. Plzquitharrassingktnx. Then there was a tornado siren that went off- it's clear blue skies... Then I get word an unknown dude+
A movie rental store. A few months. They only hired me as an asst mngr bc store mngr was going on a 3 week honeymoon. They trained me as a regular assoc, though, briefly demonstrated some mngr tasks, then he left. I had no passwords, only a front door key, no sops. +

Many years ago, I worked for a law firm as a lowly legal secretary. Boss wanted me to come in early to make coffee for everyone, but wouldn't let me leave early or pay OT. So i came right on time, left on time. For a while, the partner's paralegal (and secret lover) was making the coffee instead,
He only coined the new term so he could try to own it and make money off the new term. He can't make any money off of "artificial intelligence." He already missed that boat.
