"Stone farm" 🐔 The maru nib is my loyal companion at this point, but I tried something different with the colours here! Also, long live my money tree, which is featured in this drawing, and which has rotten since I finished this (but which is being propagated, so maybe not all is lost...) 🌱

AI filmmaking is peeing. It’s pooping. It’s throwing up. It’s a new kind of liquid coming out. It’s hated by the establishment. It’s what goes in the toilet. It’s wet. It’s what’s in the bathroom.

AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.

Long time no big drawing ! Just read Taiyō Matsumoto’s « Tokyo these days » and aside from being a magnificent comic, it made me wanna draw middle aged men with glasses so there we are. Also, long time no color work and omg this takes forever

Applying to ShortBox last year quite literally changed my life. It gave me an opportunity to really work on something special and it helped me feel like I had a voice and story to tell!!!! Idk it's been a few weeks since the end of the fair and I still get emotional talking about it. Apply now!!!!

Hi, I'm Xulia Vicente, cartoonist and illustrator from Spain. I like to work with fantasy elements, sapphics and a little bit of horror. My comics include Clair de Lune 🎵 I see a knight 🐎 Elisa & Marcela 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 and Sello de Dragón 🐉

Scene from Clair de Lune. A girl playing the clarinet is sitting, apprehensive, on a chair lit by a spotlight in a dark room. Her clarinet is squeaking with a "FWEEEE" sound. She's surrounded by a lot of horses, all of them looking at her. An orchestra conductor looks surprised, looking at her too from across the room.Scene from I see a knight. Two characters, a girl and a woman, riding a horse away from the viewer, going into the woods. The scene is divided in four horizontal panels, each one showing the same scene in a different colour scheme, signaling different seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter.A lady holding a pile of baskets full with seaweed over her head, standing in the sea. Another woman is surrounding her with her arms. Under the water, we can see this second woman is a mermaid, surrounding the other with her tail as well. The palette is full of greens and reds.Four Palestinian kids are playing around an olive tree. The scene is framed by an area full of green and red motives - birds, olive branches, poppies... - and a lettering that says 'Free Palestine'

“Those who leave” by @cowlickmeadow.bsky.social was such a treat. Anything about death and spirituality I’m immediately interested in. But on top of that, this was funny, delicate and featured the loveliest characters. Big recommendation for everyone doing last minute shopping!

The summer after highschool, my paternal gpa took me on his scooter to see my gma & great gma’s graves. Read about this experience in my comic, “Those Who Leave”, plus many more at Shortbox Comics Fair @shortboxcomicsfair.bsky.social though October! www.shortboxcomicsfair.com/shop-sq4wj/p...

'Dead Days' by @alicescarpa92.bsky.social got me setting my fear aside and drawing an actual car (or something like that). It's an autofiction comic with a delicious balance between goofyness and nostalgia, and a heart-wrenching ending. Less than a week to check it out so go go go!
