Headlines like this is why America will never have universal health care
Back in the day, D&D understood that it's the players responsibility to learn how to play the game, not the responsibility of the GM to teach them.
The best thing about this OPs post, the one in the screenshot, is that he wouldn't even know the solution to his own puzzles. And if you're making a puzzle and it is meant to have one solution like this... you kinda need to know that. Just, y'know, advice from someone who's been GMing since 1995.
"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take
🔴🟡🔵 BIG WALK 🔴🟡🔵 Out now on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. Hooray!
Went to see Spiderman in the cinema yesterday. I have thoughts, but my biggest thoughts is that the trailers included movies starring Johnny Depp, Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black. God, throw in Jared Leto and I'd have had all of the Four Horsemen of Bad Movies.
The funny thing is, if I say that modern players are unable to use their imagination and are so brain-rotted by short-form content that they require constant visual stimulation in order to play an RPG, I'll be told I'm being ableist.
We have now watched The Deadly Assassin. Was legitimately surprised at how violent and gruesome it was for the era. Not surprised Mary Whitehouse had an orgasm over it.
Me and my partner are watching some classic Tom Baker Doctor Who, and we've just watched The Deadly Assassin. Shockingly, the president of Gallifrey has died; and he had only one day left until retirement.
I often refer to modern new D&D players as infantilized because, honestly, that's what the hobby has become - and nothing shows that as strongly as the new version of Dark Sun being shrink-wrapped and 'for adults only', where the original version was not.
#lodelrol www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CtT...
🚨 IT'S HERE! 🚨 *Disaster Queers: Emmlie's Eleven* is OUT NOW! The Disaster Queers are back for a casino heist involving priceless jewels, terrible planning, and all the queer chaos you'd expect.

Modern video games are very appealing but I can't put my finger on why
Also I really shouldn't have to say, but because it's the internet and I know what people are like, keep your feedback CONSTRUCTIVE. Suggest how to IMPROVE. If you didn't like something, EXPLAIN WHY. Don't be an asshole. This is a new team and playtests are reliant on you all not being dicks.
The folks at @worldofdarkness.bsky.social now have all of my feedback delivered on their digital form. So, all you folks who have opinions on the VtM6 alpha playtest, you should put it on their form so they can get it. Much more useful than bellyaching online. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

My feedback on the Vampire the Masquerade 6th edition playtest.
I think the recent D&D World of Warcraft announcement really highlights why I've fallen so far off the hobby, because WotC wants RPGs to be WoW, players are hyped because they want RPGs to be WoW, and I'm over here wanting RPGs to be like Elden Ring.
My feedback on the Vampire the Masquerade 6th edition playtest.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Grace Jones”, New York, 1981, by Adrian Boot.
I need to find some proper FKK resorts on this side of Europe...
Good fucking riddance. Now can we fix the other clans as well?
Vampire the Masquerade 6th Edition is going to be a totally serious game about personal and political horror, not a game about running around with silly fanged super-powers. Also V6...
This is now my favourite rule, because it means that if you do nothing every night other than feed, you can actually trigger your vampire to wake up one morning and, immediately upon waking, have a temper tantrum and a frenzy at the same time. Kinda exactly like waking up in your 40s.
My opinions on the V6 playtest documents are that our a vast improvement over V5, but still a huge decline over what existed in classic.
DISASTER QUEERS BOOK 2: EMMLIE'S ELEVEN is now available, and if you're after a fast-paced LGBTQ+ comedy full of impossible heists, terrible decisions, found family, and the glorious chaos that ensues when absolutely nobody is qualified for the mission, I'd love for you to pick up a copy.
Brace yourself for a shocking hot take, but Gabriel Knight 3 was a good game actually. And I'm not joking.
It's the title adventure gamers love to hate on: Gabriel Knight 3, infamous for the "Cat Hair Mustache Puzzle," a bizarre bit of gameplay that was, supposedly, so bad it killed the entire adventure game genre. But is that true? www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgNK...
