Alison Bain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at OSU. She obtained her BSc from Carleton University in chemistry with a concentration in nanotechnology, her MSc in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia, followed by her PhD in Chemistry from McGill University.

I teach my analytical chemistry class how to use Python for data analysis. At the beginning of the term, a poll indicated that 75% of the class had never used Python before, now, just 10 weeks later, my students are submitting Python code to solve problems on assignments where it is not required. 🥰
