I remember doing a panel with the Exciters once and that is indeed what they remembered warmly 50 years on from their tour opening for the Beatles - being protected from awful Jim Crow venue rules on tour together in the American South

You can't blame Ed Sheeran for caving in to American stadium owners I suppose. I mean, take these guys in the 60s, they refused to play to racially-segregated audiences in stadiums in the southern states of the USA and who remembers them now?

Tem uma programa muito psicedelico esse noite na WWOZ 90.7 FM New Orleans!! Discos exoticos do America do Sul para Lefty Parker!! Kitchen Sink, 10-midnight, weird and psychedelic South American records from Lefty! WWOZ dot org! Que bom! Eu nao falo portugues muito bem mas eu tento um pouco.

Unsure how much reach this account on this platform has but I freaking adore Nellie McKay and I am very glad she’s playing Monday!! It’s like WWOZ Piano Night but with just one person and supporting real cats, not just jazz cats
