You gotta love Florida in the spring. Gator season - just beginning.
Waiting for our Memorial Day Ceremony to begin. Sanford, Fl on the St John’s River.
I always thought there were gnomes out there. Does anyone else see this guy?
If you want to feel better, just for a minute, look for my favorite wildflower. They are showing up now and they won’t be there for long. Wild violets.
Saw this today on my walk. Maybe they thought it was Halloween.
Just a morning walk. It still feels like summer - but things are changing. Fall is coming.
Fall is coming. The flowers are changing. Horsemint has matured to nice purple berries.
Mushrooms or flowers? I don’t know, but they’re awfully pretty.
A beautiful new trail in Seminole County. About a mile out and a mile back through cypress swamp out to open water.
Gopher tortoise I saw today. They’re so harmless. I love to see them.
Berries everywhere right now. I’ve never seen so many.
Just a couple of wild turkeys walking around the preserve behind my house today.
Today’s walk at Cross Creek. I think yesterday’s rain got a lot of plants blooming.
Go outside. Look at the sky through some trees. Take a breath. Everything will be better.
Ok. If you are going to pose for me like that - I’m going to take your picture.
I love February because wild violets are on display in Florida. It makes the world completely tolerable for the moment because you can just lose yourself in their natural beauty.
