The demolition of poor-rated Jacks Run Bridge No. 3 over I-279 in Ross reached a major milestone. Dept of Public Works contractor Swank Construction removed 5 concrete beams — each weighing nearly 250K lbs. Crews will continue removing the remaining beams before taking down the bridge’s only pier.

The Department of Public Works has granted a permit to St. Barnabas Charities to close Meridian Road from Bakerstown Road to Gibsonia Road (Route 910) in Richland for the Free Care 5K. The closure will occur from 8:30 am to 10 am on Saturday, August 1.

Today's (7/18) Wine and Spirits Festival at Hartwood Acres Park is cancelled due to forecasted severe thunderstorms. We are looking into rescheduling and will announce an update as soon as possible. All who purchased a ticket will automatically be refunded.
