#RRD BlueSky Royal Rumble Draft Some epic battles this week with 2 fixtures separated by only 1 point and another by 2 points. The table remains tight with 4 teams on 9 points and 3 teams on 6 points. Bizarrely, the teams in 8th & 9th have scored the most points overall.

#FPL I genuinely think Rogers is a better pick than Palmer. I keep hearing / reading people big-up Palmer over Rogers. Pens are part of it. Palmer will take ~3 pens in the EPL this year. xGI over the 1st 4 games is comparable. I’ve also heard Palmer referenced as an alternate cap to Halaand, but

I read this article back in June; it’s worth reading again. I dunno, people are complex, man. I get that. Still: if this is how they treat you to your face, what do you think they say behind your back? How can you even consider aligning with people who hate you because of ‘conservative values’…?

#FPL feels like there’s more variation in strategy this week. I see lots of FHs, some WCs, Palmer is a popular cap, even triple cap. I’m hoping that being patient and sticking with my team / plan is the right play overall, but can’t help being nervous with so many chips in play. Let’s see.

My #FPL team for GW4. Double Arsenal. Single Liverpool. Single Chelsea. Haaland. Bruno. Maguire likely to come in for Dedic. Doesn’t feel optimal for this GW, but who knows? Maybe DCL can bang a hat trick.

I don't think I've ever hated anything as much as I hate the mosquito who managed to get me twice on the pinky, once on the ring finger, both on the knuckles! Itches like a mo-fo. And I didn't even notice at the time, so the little fucker got away scot-free. You win this round, mosquito nemesis.

This isn't a technological evolution that will change the way movies are made. This is pretend. This is a case of spoiled brats with expensive toys who expect everyone to treat their Play-Doh pizza as a real culinary achievement that will revolutionize fine dining.

"Oh, you're criticising data centres? But you USED A DATA CENTRE to publish your post??? Hypocritical much????" Time to put this fossil fuel PR inspired talking point to bed forever. Why the 'Mr Gotcha' gambit is wrong in two very important ways:

JFC this is so incredibly ignorant I don’t even know where to start. ‘AI coding’ will not enable you to personally replace Office, or PeopleSoft, or Photoshop. It may enable start-ups to introduce competitive products. But hey, guess what? Competitive products already exist. Monopolies continue.

One of the most stupid Skeets I’ve read in a long, long time - so stupid I’ve not been able to curb my “do not engage with the stupid on Bluesky” credo. In response to a Bsky dev posting “This is why I care about AI coding,” in itself a response to someone saying “it enables people to create software <sic> so easily that we will be able to move away from the tech monopolies…”, someone has posted: @get rid of the M$ tax on your business, the Oracle tax, the Adobe tax, etc.”

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s not AI. It’s not ‘artificial intelligence’. It’s not sentience, or thought. It’s machine learning. It’s maths, algorithms, and masses of computing power. It’s a great technical achievement (at great cost!), but it’s not an independent life form.

Similar experience. I was up for renewal: Me: "I'm up for renewal, here's what I can get elsewhere, what can you offer me?" Them: "Nothing." Me: signs up with new provider. Them: <received notification I'm transferring> "You are now through to our retention team, here's a great deal!" Me: 🤣🤣🤣👋
