TROPICS | As of the 8 AM update from the NHC, not a lot of changes with our orange blob. This may be the best it looks before leaving the gulf stream and moving over much cooler waters. That will be highly unfavorable for development. No worries for us in Tampa Bay.

TROPICAL UPDATE | As of the 2 PM update from NHC, a non tropical low continues to churn off the US east coast and is moving away to the northeast. Regardless if it forms or not is is moving well away from us. Dangerous surf and coastal erosion is expected along the East Coast throughout the week

TROPICS | As of the 2 PM update from the NHC, our cluster of storms near the Cabo Verde Islands is still low on the development front and won't likely become much of anything. Still a 20% over the next week. If anything changes we will keep ya posted.

The storm prediction center has again under a level one at a five risk for strong to severe storms today for those in green (10/8). Really, the only threat we have is for water spouts & brief spin ups. Very low threat-but non zero!

🚨HEADS UP PINELLAS, HILLSBOROUGH , MANATEE, & SARASOTA COUNTIES 🚨 The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded us this afternoon (10/6) to a low threat of a brief tornado or waterspout along the coast. Keep an eye on the sky if you live near the water!

TROPICS | As of the 2 PM update from the NHC, the remnants of Fay still are highlighted in yellow, but don't look great. Only a 10% chance over the next 2 & 7 days for Fay to reform. Not a concern for us. Just keeping an eye out.
