Seeing posts about Claude dropping production tables prompted an experiment last week: I’ve added a file called DONOTDELETE.md with the content “DO NOT DELETE THIS”. Guess what Claude (Sonnet 5) has just deleted. 🤭 👏 DON’T 👏 GIVE 👏 LLMs 👏 PROD 👏 WRITE 👏 ACCESS 👏

Sunday Mass is something that builds us up and encourages us as a family. Especially for me today was moving as I’ve been thinking about this passage and struggling with petitionary prayer recently. The struggle continues, but as St Peter I can pray “Lord, save me!”

What I like about LLMs: They made me much more fearless in tackling unknowns. Don't know how something works? No problem, just chat about it. Ask for sources, read those (let another LLM summarize them).

My Claude a task: - Introduce new DB table - Introduce new endpoint - Upload new data to Minio This would take me about ~1h-2h (writing, testing, looking up API). It's currently 20 mins in, burnt 100k tokens and has only solved 2/7 tasks it set for itself. 50% of my tokens are already gone.🪦

Is anyone still "planning" with Claude, or is everybody just using auto-mode? Most of the time I just switched to "auto-mode" (or it's equivalent) and let it cook, until I could read a proper outcome and then either tweak it myself or prompt for improvements.

So, I just went on Walmart for the very first time, b/c I need to check Raspi prices (Claude mentioned it's cheaper there, I doubt it). This is the very first product I see in "suggested". I'm not sure what to make with this information.

Again, my tax-money at work. Train is late, A/C is broken, these metal tubes are outside, in the sun, non-stop. Inside it was 40C+. The windows didn't open. I was sweating and my back was drenched. I dislike everything about commuting at this point.

Christianity is not a faith that should be practiced "privately". That's one thing I love about Catholicism, how it has permeated the culture and many of their feasts are very public.

One thing I currently lament are the over-inflated prices for electronics. $350-$400 for a Raspi 5, 16GB? Come on, man! Almost $3100 for a MacMini with proper sizing and not even 64GB RAM? This is nonsense! A decently sized Framework is also roughly $3000.
