Can’t decide if my favourite thing today is the TPU deleting this post and the results because they lost their own poll or seeing the right wing councillors around the country bitching about amalgamation plans that no one wants to play with them over from the government THEY told people to vote for.
I just want to note that Franks is saying it should be good practice for journalists to run their stories by the FSU before publishing? Even though what the FSU media release, and this garbage, was a response to a journalist ASKING QUESTIONS TO A MINISTER ABOUT A DECISION THE MINISTER MADE.

The Free Speech Union aren't involved in this story, or at least they weren't until the new appointee to the Medical Council presumably sent Franks the questions Vance had asked the Minister, which referenced the FSU in a question the Minister could and should answer without the FSUs involvement?!
This is absolutely insane overreach from Franks and the FSU, as per usual, wanting to have their thumb on the scales of journalism where it concerns people they support or issues they deem as territorially theirs? When did this grubby dark money company become the arbiter of public discourse?
The thing Franks doesn't want to cop to, even while he references one of the questions Vance asked, is HOW HE GOT THE QUESTIONS VANCE SENT TO SIMEON BROWN. Because the answer is likely that Dr Kalupahana sent them to Franks or the FSU via the Ministers office. Which is absolutely nuts behaviour.
