Conversations with a six year old are such a wild ride. Confusing “lesbian” and “thespian” has made my morning 😅 “it’s gay if it’s boys and thespians if it’s girls?”

Would anyone in Bristol like one free ticket to see David Sedaris at the Bristol Beacon on Saturday? I can't make it (I had forgotten I had bought a ticket 🫠)
Was lucky to see Super Furry Animals at Bristol Sounds last week during that heatwave. Such a joy. What a special band. Diolch @gruffrhys.bsky.social !
Getting left nice comments in a collaborative document is such a great little power up boost. "Love this!" is such a little thing to write down, but has immense battery boosting effects.
Daughter accidentally cracked an egg into the full cutlery drawer, it leaked through a tiny gap in the front of the drawer, then slid horizontally along the top of the cupboard below, before dripping on to everything in there too, then making its way out the front of the cupboard onto the floor.

Keen to learn how AI can solve the head lice problem.
A small win: I remembered to bring a cup of tea for the train instead of buying one I don’t even enjoy
The pace of creating something entirely new is so different to the pace of plate juggling something that already exists.
Building work: How much is it going to cost? OK thats a bit more than I had hoped but lets go ahead. Oh. And there are these costs? OK. We need it doing. Plus these costs. These ones need VAT adding to them? And this extra work needs to be done by someone else, on a specific day we don't yet know...
The question everyone needs to replace "can I?" with is "should I?".
Unexpected parental thought: "I hope that head louse I just caught was an incel"
I've discovered a side quest that turns out to be really special: I have been learning that its my life's secret mission to help children build a love of books and reading.
TOP TIP: When you get blood tests done, tell the nurse how great they are at doing it.
I wish I got to pick what I hyperfocus on. I need to learn rudimentary coding skills but all I have eyes for right now is sewing with zips.
One of the greatest joys I have had recently is making a large, paper maché frog. The frog has gone to live at my daughter's school, where it is going to collect the children's wishes for new books for the library.
Colleague told me they'd had an argument with an old white man and had thought of me. Hoping its not because I remind them of the man (who was being an arse).

Hearing a toilet brush being used in an urgent, aggressive manner is really unpleasant.
I miss my 6 year old daughter when she is at school. I catch moments of thinking "Oh I wish I could show this to Ripley" or "I hope she is having a nice day and enjoying [whatever the thing for the day is]". She's brutally honest with me that she forgets I exist as soon as she goes into school 😂
Challenged myself to read 14 books this year. I’m over halfway through book 14 and it’s not yet the end of April. Last year I read 12 😅 I thought 14 was a good stretch to aim for
Been re-discovering my love of the Super Furry Animals and realising that I first listened to them 30 years ago 😅
Listening to a webinar about AI and product stuff and the host has just said “hang on I want to double click on what you just said” to one of the guest speakers.
Whitehall Primary School in East Bristol is looking for help with some supplementary items to enhance learning. They have a wish list for items to use in their outdoor “wilderness” area where children can experience nature. Could you help them out by ordering an item? ❤️https://amzn.eu/2DL9Due

The thing I am working on at the moment involves me translating chemotherapy reactions into an "easy to read" flow chart. Each day I feel like three racoons in a trench coat.
Creating something new from scratch is a wild ride
