Open Wed - Sat 11am - 10pm. Award winning, artist-led studio theatre with a banging bar. St. James Boulevard, Newcastle. linktr.ee/alphabettitheatre

Our next Work in Progress slot is with BBC actor Tom Wells (Waterloo Road, EastEnders) who is working on his piece: 'The Departure'. It's tender, funny, and deeply human, exploring how we can sometimes be more honest with strangers than with those closest to us... Fri 11th Sept 7.30pm PWYF

We were very lucky to have Ambitious Motion Pictures capture our first Storyboard event in April. This marked the beginning of our exploration into what Alphabetti can and should be, a fantastic way to hit off our development. Check out the next Storyboard date, August 7th to get involved!

Alrighty team, the end of our Spring Season comes with a new AD note covering all things development period (link in bio). We just want to say a huge thanks for being rockstars. We are here and ready welcome anyone who is ready to take the next step on their creative journey, ta one and all!

An image of Betti's theatre, door open with the sign shining bright, a moving body on their way into the theatre holding a disco ball. A sense of things happening. Two textured blue squares on top of the image with white text inside. Each bit of text is a quote from the Artistic Director's note. The text reads: Over the next six months, Alphabetti will enter a dedicated development period... Between now and the end of the year we will be opening our doors exclusively for artist development opportunities and private hires. I believe that an essential part of any creative ecosystem is the provision of space where artists can take risks and fail safely... A space where the only prerequisites are a willingness to learn, improve and develop.

Common Thread starts on Wednesday 18th February and this month's theme is Love. Common Thread facilitator, Ilisha Thiru Purcell will help writers generate ideas and uncover what connects the art they love to the art they make - finding the common thread. Spaces are free but be sure to book ✍️
