Don't forget. Don't mess it up. Crow Country is pretty great, more people should visit this absolutely not haunted abandoned theme park.

Well, it finally happened! After 9 years of Unity dominance, Godot was the most used game engine for GMTK Game Jam 2026 submissions. 🤖 Godot - 47% 🎮 Unity - 34% 🛠️GameMaker - 5% 🚀 Unreal Engine - 3% ✨ Other - 11%
Remote work at a coffee shop? No thanks, I'll go to a fast food restaurant today Refill diet soda has gotta be a little healthier than refill coffee, right?
This is Uppercute 🌺👊!!! Uppercute is a 3D action platformer #indiegame #gamedev #unrealengine5 #Speedrun
I’m growing tired of the phrase “must be studied”. Not only does its popular use add nothing to conversation… but also… YOU CAN DO THAT STUDY! You can start investigating and sharing your findings on the subject! Don’t just act like someone else MUST do it, and then just wait for it. Go ahead!
2am thoughts: Kamen Rider Agito is testing my patience by having a protagonist who stops the plot and is wholly uninterested in solving the central mystery, even 20 episodes in. The other two riders are going through hell in order to find clues and become stronger, meanwhile Agito plays dumb
I’m so glad I’m not hooked on Twitter anymore. It really feels like for every genuine tweet, there’s 9 other posts rage baiting, engagement baiting, or just straight up bot content. Every time I see “There’s a reason for this. And you’re not ready to hear it” I just close the site.
Rereading your own work and improving it is easy. After all, you likely know a solution just from thinking of the problem, or the solution is just to write less Fixing problems from feedback someone gave you? that's when the real problem solving has to come in. it's so much harder to think lol
3,200 is such a ridiculously big number. The cynic in me can hardly believe there's that many industry jobs left in general.
BREAKING: Xbox will cut 3,200 jobs as part of a major reorganization, and divest from five studios: - Compulsion and Double Fine will go indie - Ninja Theory and Undead Labs will be sold - Arkane to enter consultation process Here's the full story: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
I’m having a dream where we can host doujin game conventions, and instead of selling discs or flash drives, devs can ask people to bring their own usb’s and get an exclusive game! of course, malware makes this impossible. But man imagine owning a physical, exclusive game!
BookStation has discontinued books. You may now only buy new Kindle releases.
Conflicted over this, but happy to see that community members and maintainers are even more conflicted than I am. Just this weekend, we held our gamedev community meetup and I held a presentation about the objective drawbacks of using AI in games. It was a contentious topic, but I feel like -
For years we have been overwhelmed by the volume of code contributions we have to review, especially from new contributors. AI has made the problem much worse. That's why we are taking steps to reduce the burden on maintainers while still welcoming new contributors: godotengine.org/article/cont...
got to host a local game dev meetup for @encontrol.dev and also give a presentation on how the industry standard is dead and it’s better off dead. thank you @gyrium.bsky.social for your art and words, thank you @sugab55.bsky.social and @alvie.dev and joy and paola for being the best team ever
Really hope the Godot team draws a firm stance on this AI situation soon, and hopefully they oppose it. I've had a really good time using it, and it would really suck to build up ANOTHER community and knowledge base if they do decide to stick with AI.
Hey all! Just released Hookminer to beta, a #Pico8 game I've been working on! It's feature complete, but I'm interested to hear feedback to see if I tweak it some more! #Solodev #indiedev alviedev.itch.io/hookminer

oh I haaaaated that new starfox reveal. It's bad. The visuals miss the mark on any charm the original had, the extra dialogue misses the magic of the short-but-sweet quips, and none of this is justifying spending my money on it.
I figured I should start logging stuff I'm working on Today I was messing with our VN project's sounds, and using test sounds from a certain game I couldn't stop giggling
PicoCad 2 is so much fun! Such a relaxing and creative piece of software, I'll definitely make some more of these! #hollowknight #silksong #picocad2 #lowpoly
Bought a used Thinkpad to use as a workstation! Decided to go with OpenSUSE worst set up of my life, dear lord, I got like 10 different things that I had to wrestle with. After that though, hey! Everything's super neat on Linux!
Regarding the recent UT/DR discourse, I think the main takeaway is that we need to be able to apply fan translations on consoles.
Maybe... Maybe I ought to give it another try... Surely it's just as fun as PicoCAD, right?
