New TL. Nerd. Disproportionately excited about kid lit and ed tech.

My second MYRCA Sundogs read of the summer: Invisible: The Sort of True Story of Me & My Hidden Disease, by David Soren. J.J.'s disease shows up tangibly in the form of a creature only he can see. Great for those with similar experiences and empathy-building for those without. #MYRCA #TLSky

Front cover of a book titled "Invisible: The Sort of True Story of Me & My Hidden Disease" by David Soren. Below the title is an illustration of a boy on the exam table in a doctor's office, looking with alarm at a large purple creature with a green beard eating corn chips.

I'm taking a course on cataloguing right now that's a bit of a slog, but it has its delightful moments. I like Ranganathan's 5 Laws of Library Science: Books are for use. Every reader [their] book. Every book its reader. Save the time of the reader. Library is a growing organism.

Visited the Wpg Children's Museum today and loved seeing all the books everywhere. Great connections to the exhibits and a chance for a calm moment in the middle of excitement.

Three picture books leaning against a window.
