artsy bitch pulled in a million directions by all of my interests. corporate AV tech and grassroots/TCG/esports-type event production across the board. also kind of good at magic the gathering. and pretty.
I need to get back to spending two hours climbing every other day while I'm between gigs. Feeling rejuvenated ✨
What I watched in July! Now at 95 movies watched this year / 92 unique movies watched this year. I think the new goal for the year is 150 which should be very, very doable.
What I watched in June! Definitely slowing down but 84 so far this year is still pretty damn good lol. Gotta get to the theater and see more new stuff next month I think. * Alien doesn't have a rating because I watched the racertrash vaporwave remix of it but still wanted to log it
my four most recent watches are all 5-star movies. (this is cheating)
Part two of the big apartment decorating project: Liiiiiiiiiights! Much more to come, I'm still really unhappy with how empty the space around my bed is
The Odyssey and Oppenheimer are both movies about the unbearable weight of being "The Guy" Nolan is at an all time high right now it's kind of ridiculous. 10/10.
The first part of my big apartment redecorating project is done!!! Introducing the VINE WALL. Roughly 460 feet of vines are in this photo and I'm genuinely so proud of myself, it looks absolutely incredible
Day 2 of The Project: I've been to Lowe's four times already, my thumbs hurt, and I'm waiting on yet more amazon deliveries
when "they'll figure it out at the warehouse" but the warehouse is just your apartment
Oh boy I sure love when Amazon promises my shit will arrive between 8 and 11 pm and it's almost 9:30 and their package tracking says it's still sitting in a warehouse in Renton for some fucking reason
Genuinely one of the best and most useful quotes to come out of this game
Melodrama by Lorde is also really fuckin high up there
Becoming increasingly convinced that Lungs by Florence + The Machine is actually the greatest album ever made
I just double-featured POLICE STORY (1985) and RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (1995) as my first two Jackie Chan movies. Both of them feature a very abrupt freeze-frame ending and have credits run in front of footage of everyone injuring themselves and getting carried off the set on stretchers. it's crazy
I've learned so much today!! Did some really fun problem solving / troubleshooting. Referenced many manuals. Didn't use AI for any of the work despite many coworkers teasing me for my stubbornness Genuinely so grateful for this company giving me a chance on my first lighting lead / programming role
I worked 37 hours in the last 3 days and I'm still going to the club tonight, despite having another 20 hours tomorrow & sunday working one of the more important gigs I've booked recently. I'm simply that good. This cannot hurt me.
this is so sweet. i teared up a lil. great short read
My oldest daughter has spent most of the past year asking if she could see The Backrooms when it came out. I went to see it in advance with my wife, and after some consideration, we decided to say yes. (Spoiler: She had a blast) www.crossplay.news/p/taking-a-k...
god DAMN IT i can never quit this fucking game
Yea I think I'm quitting magic pretty soon. This is not the card game I fell in love with anymore. The worst thing is that I know as soon as any info about Reality Fracture drops it's gonna pull me right back in. Bummer, dude.
gig 1 for the day done, omw to gig 2, no food other than a chicken caesar salad at ~noon, no time, only red bull
Watched Raw (2016) again and confirmed that yes, it is my favorite movie not named Kiki's Delivery Service
