I need to stop listening to my coworkers music recommendations. They never really land with my tastes. I get why Ghost is huge, I’m sure they are much better live than recorded. Motionless in White sounds like they were born out of Evanescence and Linkin Park’s primordial ooze. Again, not my vibe.
Did the long wait, at Requiem Cafe, for the Mob Psycho 100 VAs. More I waited with my eldest who wanted to go. I wanted a tasty drink. Anyways, almost 4 hours but we made it, got the tasty drink while she met most the VAs. The youngest loves the hangout tree house.
Nothing makes me leave a space faster than hearing Evanescence. I will not be subjected to that bullshit. I try to live by ‘every song/group is someone’s favorite’ but I can’t trust anyone that claims Evanescence as their favorite.

I have a strong aversion to movies being 2+ hours long. (Carving out a bit of time for a 30 min show is hard enough) Project Hail Mary was well worth the time. I don’t know if, or when, I’ll be able to give it a full watch in one sitting again, but I enjoyed it start to finish.
That Doctor Who episode where they bring Van Gogh to the future so see how deeply his works have moved people, and then they show him whatever the fuck this is to make sure he still kills himself.

Hearing about the shit Boy George is up to, and instantly thinking, yeah that tracks. Trashy people do trashy things. Dude outed a married man living a hetero presenting life in his memoir that ended up in court, dragging his past relationship into the public eye. Just a real fucked up thing to do.
Had a customer ask if I play guitar pointing at my tattoo of Reg Smithies’ (of the chameleons) guitar. I said I’ve only dabbled & explained the story behind the ink. He then went on to tell me all the bands his played with, & I got to tell him how I’ve seen most of them, if not multiple times now.
Seeing Ministry announce a fair well tour, along with a final album only to see the cover and music video is just slop really makes me appreciate those first 2 albums all the more. Fucking hell it sucks to see them go out on such a low note. #A.I.Jourgensen

The amount of drama the local news is trying to stir up over a fucking eagle is wild. Talking about a rumor of a lady eagle trying to move into her nest while away getting a bald eagle blood transfusion at a nature reserve. It’s tmz levels of trash over a bald eagle.
Holy shit! Mike D is doing a solo tour?! Beastie Boys is really high up on my list of misses. Not that I ever had a fighting chance to see them. I know solo isn’t the same, but the DNA can’t be that far off.
Overhearing the 10 year old playing Roblox with her cousin while both are on the phone with her cousin’s friend. Friend on phone is going nuts that our kid loves Dandy’s World & asking to exchange friend codes. My kid says “sorry I can’t friend randoms, I don’t know you that well” Internet safety!
Just spent a bit more than planned on beach gear, but dammit. I hate being on the sand wishing I had a (insert useful beach item here) New towels, new bags, new chairs with shade attachments. Even a handy backpack cooler since our hands will be full carrying all the new gear.

Had a customer come up behind me today. He said mam’ so when I finally did turn around and saw him I asked if he was talking to me, & said I’m sorry, but I’m not a mam. He apologized, asked his question than asked “I want to learn, so for future, how should I refer to you?”
It’s almost time for our favorite day at the beach, hanging out with @batsday.bsky.social and all the other cool folks that come out for it. This year we get to bring our niece visiting from AK. The timing couldn’t have been better.

Learned last night at the Qbomb show that I should not crouch down, because if I do so for more than 10 seconds my knees no longer work and standing back up will not commence. No pain, just a weird sensation of my body suffering a hydraulic malfunction. #AgingPunkProblems
