Spun the left knob with my right hand for the first time today and for a brief second I thought I saw god
In hindsight funny that this aged really well immediately after I posted it

I gotta say this repo of hundreds of math preprints might be the most eerie artifact I've seen produced so far in the LLM era, despite pretty intense competition. github.com/openai/math

People like you are out there. You just have to keep looking. You just have to not give up.
So much of my life makes sense in retrospect after I found out today that some people believe a fundamental part of "American Culture" is not trying at anything unless you feel you've been personally given God's Gift Of Talent. No wonder!
Every time I venture back to Twitter it really amazes me just how nasty it is now. It doesn’t really matter what the topic is, pretty much every post is default hostile. Unsure if it’s recoverable. Mostly just left hoping it’s not a microcosm of the real world.
I remember back when LLMs were new it was really funny seeing people whose whole experience with ML was classifiers / obj det trying to make sense of this new thing. How can we trust it without uncertainty quantification!! Really funny to see the inverse now.

I think I’m starting to get pretty burned out for someone who doesn’t believe in getting burned out.
I am not really sure what to make of this Naiver-Stokes drama. Somebody definitely flew too close to the sun but it's difficult for me to pinpoint exactly who that is.
Melee decomp hit 100% the other day, which is a sober reminder of how everything is bad now and technology is ruining everything
2000s era “hacking the mainframe” scene except it’s 2026 so it’s just hitting enter on three different keyboards over and over while the agents do all the work
I’ve been sitting under the waterfall like my sensei told me to but all that’s happening is that I’m getting cold and wet
More and more I open social media apps and vaguely get the feeling “what am I doing reading this? None of these people’s thoughts are improving my life in any way.”
