I held out a wee bit of hope for the Ag Secretary nominee— in terms of the list of potential folks which included some people who were pretty pro small farmer, local food systems, & sustainability. Alas, the choice that was made was not any of these folks and doesn’t seem to bring any of that… sigh.

I’m grateful to live in a relatively small metro area (in a city of 20k, near city of 120k, within metro area of 365k) in the United States that has really solid bus service. While even tiny places in Europe are often served by train and/or bus, for us it’s a luxury! I miss double deckers, though!
