Oddly specific advice: if you’re ever worried about travelling halfway around the world on a plane with your pets… just check out these two goobers two days after their hell flight from Shanghai. They’ve just discovered carpet and birds and couldn’t be happier 🎉

Look, if they’re going to tell me I can’t read it, I 1000% am going to read it. (And yes I do see the irony of using Audible to do this… four months to go until I’m back in the UK and can finally access a library again!)

When I promise to update my husband on the two important things happening today; the China school awards and tickets to the sumo in London going on sale 😂🎉

Living the dream, two new laser engravers working non stop since their arrival on Monday! First up, a few tests, some art deco style gothic Operation games, and some very snazzy artist statement displays for our IB art exhibition!

When all the goodies arrive for the next makerspace project and it’s time for a quick prototyping sesh… next up, Year 6 with their AI co-teacher Frankenstein operation games!! (Dang, what a mouthful…) #edusky

Next session is a pretty packed panel featuring @drshannondoak.com and more! Love this point from the head of Shanghai American School: “What we’re all aiming for - student empowerment, agency, collaboration - is not what’s measured in tests”

Look, I'm not saying that I have a terrible habit of working on workshop presentations the night before I'm supposed to run said workshops... but I'm not NOT saying it!

Two absolutely top notch books that I recommend to anyone stepping into the #EdTech coaching sphere. Thought it’d be worth sharing with everyone else as it’s recruitment season in the international school world! Do you have any other books you’d recommend to an EdTech coaching newbie? #EduSky

Two books on a great couch. The first book is pale yellow with large red text that says “The EdTech coaching primer” and then smaller text saying “supporting teachers in the digital age classroom”. The author is Ashley McBride. The second book is black but with a photo of a ceiling that has a lot of big old lightbulbs. The title of the book is “e learning ecologies” and the book is edited by Bill Cope and Mary Kalantzis

If you're anything like me, you collect random articles, images, and screenshots that you're determined to go back to later... only you never do. I've been using a tool called mymind for almost a year now and it has really been a game-changer for staying on top of things!

Screenshot of the "mymind" website. A simple website showing square tiles. Each tile has a screenshot of a news article or image and a heading explaining what the article is about. Article titles in this case are "AI and the myth of personalised learning", "Do coding boot camps make sense?", "wikipedia declares war on AI slop", "fluffy AI and sceptical teachers", "openAI releases a teachers guide", "the dark library: when language...". There is also a preview image of an infographic about inclusive language and a link to a google labs website.

Teamwork makes the dreamwork in #edtech world. Teachers in Y3 asked about using AI with students. After introducing them to schoolAI, I was blown away when I went into a classroom and saw students interviewing an AI Qin Shi Huang and then writing profiles about him in their books 🎉 #EduSky
