In 1987 Gary Larson published a Far Side cartoon of two chimpanzees grooming, in which one discovers a blonde hair and says, "Conducting a little more 'research' with that Jane Goodall tramp?"[127] The Jane Goodall Institute called the cartoon an "atrocity" in a letter drafted by its lawyers to Larson and his syndicate. Goodall, who was in Africa at the time, later found the cartoon amusing.[128]
She went on to name it her favourite depiction of herself in pop culture.[129] Larson offered profits from sales of a shirt featuring the cartoon to the Jane Goodall Institute.[130]
Goodall wrote the preface to The Far Side Gallery 5, detailing her version of the controversy.[131] She praised Larson's creative ideas, which often compare and contrast the behaviour of humans and animals.

I am at the redeveloped Olympia for the first time for a concert at the British Airways-sponsored new venue (which is excellent). Clearly, tons of money has been invested but if you want step-free access at the station, you need to walk 600m. The developers simply don’t give a shit.

Everyone on X and elsewhere who called for a violent response should be charged with incitement. Everyone involved in the pogrom should be locked up with exemplary sentences. Govt should make it clear that will be the response in future anywhere else. Enough.
This is absolutely mad bollocks from Badenoch. The individuals who committed these crimes were not stopped and searched because of MacPheraon but because there was literally no reason to stop and search them. Unless she thinks that their ethnicity was reason enough, which is fabulously racist.

It’s challenging to stay abreast of what is happening in the US. This is worth five minutes of catch up. The *really* interesting part for me is the reticence to allow officials to testify. It appears that the threat of jail time for perjury remains the last line of defence for the US legal system.
