There's this tricky bs my brain does sometimes when I see an artwork I'm impressed by. For some reason I jump into the conclusion that they must've done it without using references despite knowing better as an artist. And then I think "I can't do this without references, therefore I suck". Fun.

Another #DTIYS I really like how the originals clothing folds, shading and highlights are done, I want to do more things like that Also learned that I got to practice nails (along with hands, drawing straight lines, accurate faces, etc.) Plenty to learn, but happy with progress #art
