Self-hosted software needs to start offering SQLite / file-based databases as an option. Your average self-hoster doesn't need a dedicated PostgreSQL or MySQL. Save your software from being deleted just because it consumes too many resources on a cheap VPS shared across 10 other self-hosted apps

Permissioned data for the AT Proto really needs to be done well. Thats the missing piece for the full potential of AT Proto. Without it AT proto is really narrow

Just wrapped releases of the UI and API for OpenMeet. Big change is that all users must have a PDS, and if they don't, we supply it. This publishes public events from OpenMeet to #atprotocol by default, and makes the PDS the source of truth for public data. Live now at platform.openmeet.net.
I was thinking that the reason why "decentralization" is blowing up is that "trust" has never been so broken as it currently is. I don't believe that decentralization is the one size fits all, rather, fixing the current broken state of the software industry thats filled with unethical practices is.
