Just posted: a group paper describing major updates to my software pixy, for population genetic summary statistics. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... New since 2021: arbitrary ploidy, multiallelic sites, missingness-aware Watterson's θ and Tajima's D, Hudson's FST, multicore execution!

Phylogeny of 338 species with tips painted by the chromosomal ancestry of their contemporary genomes (well separated colours indicate only few changes, while blending indicates rearrangements). Colouring of the branches is by the number of rearrangements. The ring between paints and phylogeny indicates wether the chromosomal rearrangement was fusion dominated (brown) or fission dominated (teal) process.

Glad to share my work on phylogenetic inference for wee, tiny organisms (or highly diverse): the infered topologies seem largely unaffected by unaccounted recurrent mutations, but branch lengths, and mutation-selection usage biases, are significantly impacted. #eseb #eseb2025

Really enjoyed presenting my poster on the adaptive radiation of New Caledonian persimmons at #ESEB2025. Great discussions on genomics, genome size variation, and the role of transposable elements.

Poster summarizing research on adaptive radiation of New Caledonian persimmons. Includes: 27 de-novo genome assemblies and annotations; orthology inference across 30 persimmon genomes; synteny analysis among radiated species; and GO enrichment analyses on duplicated gene families for three species pairs, including one adapted to heavy metal–rich soils.
