I’ve fought for Ohioans my whole career, and I’ll never stop.

Farm stop number 2! Thrilled to be in Athens yesterday. Agriculture is Ohio’s largest industry, and farmers deserve a governor who works every day to lower costs and hear their concerns. That’s why I’m traveling all across the state to listen to the farmers who know it best.

Such a pleasure to meet with farmers whose families have worked this land for generations.

Yesterday, we toured Wayne HealthCare — the only hospital in Darke County — and sat down with some of the hardworking leaders who help care for their community.

I had the incredible opportunity to tour the Iron Workers Local 550 Training Center and see firsthand the work that goes into training Ohio's next generation of skilled workers.

So grateful to have the support of The Ohio Iron Workers Association! Growing up in a union family in Youngstown, I have seen the role unions play in our local economies and supporting Ohio’s workforce.

As a result of systemic state underfunding of our public schools, several rounds of re-appraisals, market forces, and our corrupt Statehouse giving tax breaks to the wealthy, property taxes have drastically spiked for Ohioans across the state in recent years.

Jeff and I have known each other since our residency in Ohio more than 30 years ago. We've cared for patients together, faced difficult moments together, and never lost sight of why we became doctors in the first place.

Every single one of us is one healthcare emergency away from losing everything we've worked for our entire lives. This is something that affects everyone. As governor, I will fight to protect Ohioans' access to affordable, reliable healthcare close to home.

Ohioans are tough. But when working hard isn’t enough to make ends meet, something has to change. As governor, I plan to bring that change by cutting your taxes, putting money back into your pockets, and fighting for working families.
