I thoroughly enjoyed leading a dialogue for German teachers about censorship and book banning in the U.S. These teachers will visit U.S. schools in the fall as part of a transatlantic study trip. I visited German schools last summer as part of this outstanding fellowship. #tlsky #edusky

Tomorrow I will be part of a virtual dialogue to discuss issues in American schools with German teachers who will be traveling to the U.S. for a study trip. I will talk about the rise in censorship and book banning. Looking forward to hearing their thoughts and questions. #tlsky #edusky

I’m excited to step into a bigger leadership role with @kaslks.bsky.social as I enter the presidential cycle. I will learn the ropes as a VP before leading the organization in 2028. I look forward to working alongside many talented librarians as we support one another. #tlsky

SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! “It is much easier…to make a picture book adults respect than it is to make one children actually adore. Adults can be won over by concept and good intentions. Children demand craft. They demand timing. They demand momentum.”
