'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn landscape from above. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.

This isn't just flavor text. After over 4 years I'm coming home to the PNW. Expect more of this kinda art again probably. They are putting the Amy back in the Forest. 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲☺️💚🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

I'm going home.

There must be something about the colors I'm using that the compression algorithm just can't really handle... it's actually mindboggling how much detail is lost on bsky, it feels like a completely different image... ;;

In my soul, I feel i have been tending a lighthouse for a long time waiting for a certain ship to come to my harbour. But I'm getting old and the glass is getting dirty and the light keeps failing and I'm too tired and sick to keep climbing up there and cleaning and repairing it by myself.

One of the reasons I love artists like Joanna Newsom is because her lyrics are not only grammatically satisfying to comprehend, but they're also crystal clear 99% of the time. When I need to look them up, it's only because she used an archaic word I've not heard before. Bless her for this.

i have trouble parsing song lyrics a lot of the time and whenever i look them up on those lyrics websites i feel like i'm being gaslit... ain't no way that's what they're saying! surely??
