Seattle physician. Mama of two. I am my Mother’s Savage daughter. I will not lower my voice.

There was a “re-weaver” in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. She did INCREDIBLE work. She could fix anything. She didn’t charge much and it was always flawless. She died a decade (?) ago and the shop closed. I think about her and her work all of the time. I wish I knew what she knew.

When I get overwhelmed with the state of the world, I close in on what I can actually DO. I still advocate for those families in my kids’ former schools. I work for the people in my neighborhood. I work for my kids’ friends and their health. I do my best for my immediate community.

Is it bad that I’m sort of looking forward to seeing the implosion of the Musk-Trump bromance? Clearly, I know that others will be harmed in the process, which is abhorrent and I would do any do anything to try to prevent; but this is not that.

Went to drag brunch today. Lots of thoughts, but the bottom line is that these people are working really hard at saving lives. They talked about their elders and are trying to help the younger folks. Nothing but fun and love.
