Grotesque: In a dispute over a will, two brothers including a retired Alabama state trooper now working at a federal courthouse, appear to have gotten their mother-in-law arrested by ICE. Using the state to remove disfavored family members is the sort of thing that happens in totalitarian regimes.

LLMs are used professionally by people who are basically getting paid to use it. That’s the opposite relationship readers have with news they value enough to pay for.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...
This is true, and even if we get rid of Trump, we still have to reckon with the fact that a substantial proportion of US economic and political elites were *eager* to jump on the fascism train. They will still be the same people when Trump is gone.

Also, the Pussy Hats themselves may not have changed, but they were represnetative of a larger shift within politics where suburban white female voters with college degrees became increasingly more Democratic after they had historically been swing voters.

A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot. I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.
I don’t understand why colleagues stay silent when this happens.
