I did eventually get an email on this - I received two strikes and a three day suspension for the post 'I do not know how a trans woman's murder became an excuse for cis men to tell us we are the real problem but I wish them all a happy die'. As such I will no longer be posting on bluesky.

My grandfather used to paint inspired by Rothko, trying to capture emotions and momentum with just pure colour. I absolutely love his work and hearing him talk about it was wonderful; "There's no canvas big enough to capture joy, but maybe I can find a colour bright enough."
I know I'm in a good mental space because someone QT'd me talking about how much I loved my grandfather's work and now I'm crying. He may be the one member of my family I ever really miss.
As someone who relies extensively on hoodies I can confirm that this weather is transphobic.
Fondly remembering the only time I've been threatened whilst doing mutal aid IRL (an ML went on an unhinged rant at me about why I should be put against the wall - naturally I was expected to just put it aside for the sake of The Cause)

It has rarely been more clear that every minority is currently under assault by a unified, transnational fascist alliance and I'm never quite sure what to make of it when people start trying to build a hierarchy around who is currently facing the most heat.

I don't talk about my work a lot but I will say it is very depressing to see companies be rewarded for delaying their transition towards net zero targets. Literally capitalism rewarding itself for killing the planet.

Recording someone in public without their consent should remove your phone privileges. If they are a retail worker upgrade that to teeth privileges.

Again: these clowns' constituents stopped getting water on Saturday. The issue is, on Wednesday, still ongoing. Thousands of homes affected. Possibly a cold take, but: The fact that you cannot discuss men as a class without individual men becoming grievously offended is illustrative of the scale of challenge we face to dismantle patriarchy.
By the way, if you're interested in getting into Assault Lily, we finished translating what I'm going to call the "entry" stage play which explains all the concepts and eases you into the settings. I'm leery of linking directly but if you go to Nyaa and search Assault Lily you'll find it ✨

It was what I would think about when my brother would quit or reset a game when it became clear I would win, or when watching a movie or TV show. The boy HAD to win. And quite frankly, it's pretty obvious a lot of men in my age cohort absorbed the same lesson.
When I was a kid, I became keenly aware girls were literally never allowed to beat boys. At ANYTHING. I never shared this observation, but titled it "The Silver Medal/Second Place Rule" in my mind. Girls could be good at something, but never better than a boy. It was my childhood FedEx arrow.
