Parents in Victoria are going through hell right now and to hear the Premier say she won’t apologise for breaking Parliamentary rules and failing to release documents about their children’s safety is shameful.
Private childcare has become a money-making machine, prioritising profit over caring for children. Shocking abuse, like what was revealed last week, doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s a product of a sector that cuts corners, breaches staffing ratios & neglects child safety for the sake of corporate 💰
Yet again, the Vic Government & police are failing to protect victim-survivors. In a family violence crisis, they should be doing everything in their power to protect women & children, not shirking responsibility on key safety measures. Premier, listen to the coroner. Implement these reforms now.
