The Chippewas have struggled notably through two games on offense and are looking to clean up the small things in hopes of exponential benefits.

It's doesn't lend to conspiratorial excesses but "F-16 engine ingested bird, ceased being functional plane" is the exact sort of relatively benign explanation I expected when I heard about this crash yesterday.
Air traffic controller audio has emerged in the incident that sparked evacuation, shelter-in-place orders

Look I get he’s just pursuing his own narcissism and grievances but if the president was literally trying to get his party destroyed at the midterms he would be following the precise current course

Lions defense couldn’t stop a parked car rn
Brad Holmes started on an incredible heater but most atone for how bereft of difference makers this defense is
The real truth is WMU has to beat Boise State anyways and then go 8-0 (realistically 9-0 with a MAC title) to be in the hunt for the CFP so let's not all get worked up over the CFP committee saying a thing now.
Had our first *technical difficulties* in getting the pod up today, but it is up — @connorearegood.bsky.social and I go long on MSU-Notre Dame (CJ Carr of it all, MSU run game, special teams edge?) and hit quickly on the other four games, plus make picks. Tap in! open.spotify.com/episode/1BS2...

In podcast editing hell* *really CPU file management, do I have enough space, can this fit on solid state?-type hell downstream of editing a podcast
WMU's top three tacklers: 1. LB Justyce Betts 2. LB Dillon Moore 3. LB Domanick Moon Also accounted for three of the four WMU takeaways on defense. What was an unanswered question about who would step up in this room two weeks ago has been answered with an exclamation.

My general take on Piker is he's directionally not off in criticizing the U.S. imperial project and the dumbass demagoguery at home to buttress it the last 25-30 years especially, but he's also an easily ignored dumbass? Like, I ignore him as equally as I ignore the Pod Save America bros.
Piker is an influencer first and a radical second. He wants credit for being part of a movement but he also needs to always be the main character. He has nothing interesting to say but he knows how to say it in an attention-grabbing way. The branding is Althusser but inside the box it's Mr. Beast.
Finding out Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (D'Angelo Barksdale in The Wire) is a year OLDER than Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) threw me for a massive loop just now.
Yeah that statement was funny and tbh with some hindsight “Bill hires his relatives and buddies to run it like an old boys club” was probably the most likely path for this going off the rails; he was probably always gonna get the football part of it *somewhat* sorted out.
we have investigated and determined that Bill Belichick's eldest son and his closest friend in the world were both independently off doing bad things that we can't say out loud for legal reasons. it's fine though, and most importantly, it has nothing to do with Bill Belichick
Mike Rogers is a self-interested snake who doesn’t deserve our votes and last night is why — refused to face the people he claims to want to represent under the guise of some ginned up theory about an unfair moderator. Cowardly, disqualifying behavior from a man who doesn’t deserve it to begin with.
Abdul El-Sayed gives a thoughtful answer to the moderator’s question about how he would work with the White House. But I must also say, the repeated image of Abdul answering questions from Michigan viewers on one side of the screen with the empty podium on the other also speaks 1000 words.

Broc Lowry, Bronco receivers show early signs of elevated passing game for WMU
Western Michigan targeted an improved passing game all offseason and seems to have hit the mark with an improved aerial attack early in 2026.

On the flip of this, there's part of me that really appreciates that I can ask Matt Drinkall, as I did this morning, about the offense being bad for two weeks and he just basically chuckled and was like "yep it has been" while also talking in some depth about it and where things are headed, etc.
your first sentence is ESPECIALLY true of college football and you can add "adversarial topics" to that list ... this is why many have chosen to simply write about something else

The Chippewas have struggled offensively through two games, something nobody within the program is in denial about.

One note from Matt Drinkall today: Sounds like Angel Flores has asserted himself for more of a full-time role at QB, but Glasser/Beamon will filter in from time to time.
