I mean, the Nintendo GameCube app, isn’t the worst way to play GameCube stuff. They look and play really good, and it’s convenient with the Switch and everything. But, Nintendo is slow with adding games to the thing. And you don’t own them. I don’t know.

I got this GameCube at launch, so it has that extra output thing. Lots of you you have recommended to get an adapter for that slot. I’ll definitely look into it. Thank you!👌
I hooked up my GameCube to my Tv, through a Scart to HDMI converter, and my Tv is not having it. It refuses to show anything on the screen, which is pretty irresponsible, in my opinion. Looks like I have to get a CRT Tv, or just play GameCube games on the Switch.
I’d put it up there with Mario World and Donkey Kong Country, I think.
'Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island' was released on the Super Famicom 31 years ago today in Japan.
I’ve been wanting to hook up my Game Cube again, but I don’t have a CRT Tv anymore, and I think it needs one. I don’t want to deal with upscalers and stuff like that. And, remember to push that button, to make the disc come out, dot just yank the whole thing out of there.
I’ve got into the habit of putting the box for the Famicom game I’m playing behind the cart. Not sure why - it’s not like the label isn’t right there! I kinda like it though.
All the the time I spent here, looking for a Galarian Ponyta. At least, the music is nice.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES, Konami, 1992)
I recently discovered that there’s a warp whistle, in Desert Land. I’ve always thought there where only 2 of them. One, where you had to duck behind all the things, and the other where you had to fly in the castle.
Happy World International 8-4 Day! We applaud Nintendo in choosing to release two previously unreleased Virtual Boy games today in honor of this momentous occasion. But if you’d rather kick it old(er)-school, why not revisit the OG that inspired it all?
If theres ever a new Donkey Kong Country game, I hope they bring back David wise to do the music.
Good morning! Time to go to work unfortunately. Got the next week off tho, and Elders Scrolls: Oblivion is out next week. Funny how that happened😇 Have a great day!👌
Just started a play through of Links Awakening, yesterday. I always enjoy coming back to it, when I want to play old school Zelda games. This the Oracle of Seasons/Ages games✌️
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was out 33 years ago (1993)! This handheld classic took us far from Hyrule to a strange island with a secret sleeping deep within.🥚 Have Link explore a labyrinthian map with bizarre quests, secrets, and Goombas. LA Remake hub: www.rpgfan.com/game/the-leg...
Started up the Super Nintendo version of Mario 3, just to play it a bit, and before I knew it, I’m in Desert Land. Mario 3 is just so good, no matter which version you play. I don’t know how many times I’ve played it, but I still find new ways to enjoy it.
'Streets of Rage' was released on the SEGA Mega Drive 35 years ago today in Japan.
Good morning! No real plans today, which is fine✌️ What are people up to?
So Golden Sun is 25 years old, today. Probably my favorite RPG, for the Game Boy Advance. I remember vividly beating the final boss, after being stuck for weeks. How can it be 25 years ago, already?
This week for #RandomGameSaturday a game that arrived in the post yesterday: Roguecraft GB from @thalamusdigital.bsky.social Roguecraft GB running on my GBA showing the menu
For #RandomGameSaturday here is Sim Earth from Maxis for the #Amiga. I had been seriously addicted to Sim City and was hoping for more of the same, but this game never really clicked with me. One thing I do like is that, even in this budget re-release, the game comes with a text book sized manual.
I’ve been drooling over some books that I’ve had my eyes on, for a while. They cover different areas of gaming history, and they look amazing, but they’re also crazy expensive. I’m sure I can look up all the information online, but it’s different when reading about stuff in a book, you know?
I did say, I’m collecting gaming mugs, right? This is almost everything. Is having too many gaming mugs a thing?
Both my wife and I's childhood Game Boys survived and followed us into adulthood. We still play tetris against each other.
Happy Friday, everyone! Got work tomorrow, so not quite there yet, but still.
Today’s game recommendation, Super Mario 3, for the Game Boy Advance! It’s basically every you like about the original, but with better graphics, which is a shocker, I’m sure. But, when a game is as good as Mario 3, no need to change much.
Warcraft 2 (1995). Anyone remember this? Feels like a lifetime ago.
