I'm usually a big fan of our crows, they're smart, funny and social. But this bird makes me consider violence ... Since about 6 a.m. it has been sitting in a tree maybe 100 m from my window and with few breaks during the day went "caw, caw, caw, caw, CAW, caw ... caw, caw, cawcaw, caw, caw, ..."

Little drummer boy (woodpecker using the top cover on an utility pole as sounding board):
So it turns out 5 m of lights don't get you all that far if you insist on wrapping a bonsai in an orderly fashion (spiraling in and out along the branches from base to tip and back) ... 😬 Guess next time I'll try jumping from branch to branch, where possible to hide the wire in the foliage. 🙄

I just realized - when I was a kid my mother and I always had red jackets, so there would be a splash of colour in my father's holiday pictures. And here I am ... :
New bike day (well, got it yesterday but only took it around the block after setting it up)!
As the last years, spring this year again sprung early. But not only are the spring flowers out in force (winter aconite, snowdrops, snowflakes and already crocuses) - the Christmas roses felt they should do an encore as well ...
Recently I've been addicted to photographing the structures the ice makes on one of the tubs in the yard, I guess because our temperatures were swinging from freezing nights to "warm" days for quite a while now ... #photography #nature
Despite the species name most red squirrels are more dark brownish, some even black. Some of them, though ...
A cool thing about cruising through nature on a bike is that animals don't get spooked easily. I came from that gravel path far right, turned into this bridge and passed that buzzard at less than two meters. It started to open its wings when I was closest, but then I was already receding again ...
There's magic every moment ... 🎶 We had copious rain in the evening and light frost in the night, creating most delicate ice patterns in some containers in the yard #photography #nature:
