#European 🇪🇺. ( #Austrian 🇦🇹 in #Switzerland🇨🇭.)
Interested in almost all things international. Posting, i.a., photos of my train trips, past & present.

In August 2010 we travelled from #Sarajevo 🇧🇦 to #Zagreb 🇭🇷 by train. At some point we had to wait for an oncoming Republika Srpska local service to pass. That other train, hauled by a ŽRS Class 441.300, was composed of two former (East) German cars, still displaying their green and cream livery.

⚒️ With over 220 tunnel kilometres excavated, the completion of the EU co-funded Brenner Base Tunnel is one step closer! 🇦🇹🇮🇹 Miners have now connected Austria and Italy via two main railway tunnels ↓

A large group of tunnel construction workers in high-visibility vests and hard hats celebrate inside a newly broken-through tunnel, waving Austrian and European Union flags beneath a commemorative banner.

Telegraph: “The world’s cheapest luxury trains – including one that costs less than a pint. These lesser-known trains may not be as lavish as their famous counterparts, but they offer an experience that’s every bit as spectacular.” ⬇️ 🆓 www.telegraph.co.uk/gift/018d18d...
