Spiderman: Brand New Day: Yanno, I liked it. The plot is full of holes, but the character work is great. I appreciated the increased depth and darkness of Spidey himself (he's not a kid anymore) and of the overall story, but I also liked the message that friendships will carry us in difficult times.
Never heard of him til this very minute, but a quick search confirms I was fortunate to not have known him!

Call me old-fashioned but I truly give zero shits about whether a politician is any good in a boxing ring. Whether I like them or not. I don't mind politicians humanizing themselves on social media but this particular approach is so extremely "appeal to the dudebros" that it actively repels me.
Finally finished a DIY project I started months ago... I cut these stylized cacao pod images out of seven Chocolats Dicitte chocolate bar packages whose designs I've always liked. Then I found a pile of mini-frames at 50% off at Michael's a few months ago, $3.50 apiece.
It's tea tasting and pairing time! At this winter's Toronto Tea Festival, I came across a rare wild-grown white tea called Dragon's Claw from Tea Squared. I tasted it earlier this week and served it to some guests today along with a pairing.
Current bouquet: wildflowers from the farmers' market. Very reasonably priced and I kinda love that they're so spiky. Various kinds of thistles, I believe. I especially like the one that looks like an alien parasite erupting from its host. 😁

Every once in a very long while, I try to buy something on Amazon, and only if I can't easily find it anywhere else. But then I see the item is being sold by seven sellers with identical pages and names like "C2336" or "ProductSales" and they all have 35% positive feedback and I'm just like... nah.
