Holy crap, I just went down the rabbit hole of "how many stars are there in the visible universe". Astronomers estimate between 70 sextillion and 1 septillion stars in the observable universe. That's way, way, more than the last time I checked. I'm actually struggling to get my brain around that.

I'm invested in the idea of running my home off of solar and a sodium based power pack. I've been reading around and it looks like the price will stabilise next year. I really do wonder if this tech could revolutionise the way we use energy, and I'm a next level pessimist, fingers crossed 🤔
The cat encountered a bee today, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to intervene. The poor bee died and the cat was left with a slightly puffy face.
Also, outdoor cat brought fleas into the house, is now officially called "fleabag".
We desperately need a strategy in the UK to better manage long periods without rain. I'm stating the obvious, I know, but seriously, wtf are they doing.
There's two, possibly three, painted lady butterflies in the garden at the moment, they love the Verbena. I caught them the wrong time of day, they have their wings up trying to cool down #invertebrates #butterflies
Please share 🙏 My beautiful boy Minty has now passed away. I can't even begin to describe the pain I feel. To honour his memory, Half of the sale of my original oil painting 'The Last Season' (£1,700) will be donated to Cats Protection. If you could share this post I would be forever grateful 🙏

I really hope that when it comes to prioritizing where the remaining water in the UK goes that data centres are the first to be cut off. We all have the ability to think for ourselves, AI stuff is not necessary. It's really that simple.
Dear universe, please give us some rain, we desperately need rain.

I have so many drafts, it's ridiculous, I think a lot at night, about thiiings.
Does anyone remember having any irrational fears as a child? I was terrified of electricity pylons, even passing under them in a car. My parents had to think of inventive ways to get from South to North avoiding all the cables. Night travel, or trains proved to be the answer.
I was debating with my remaining parent as to why our family album is so small. She noted that we were always too busy living our lives to have time for photos. I have mixed feelings, any number of things can evoke strong memories for me, smell especially. I don't always recall images the same way🤔
Dear void, lost another family friend to the ravages of time this week. I've known this guy my entire life. It's about now that you start to realize that every moment, every breath, is precious. If you have plenty of time, I beg you, get your priorities right, there's no rewind button #insomnia
