At the end of this year’s Books by the Banks, a visitor dropped by the author tables to give each of us a unique 3D-printed cat from the collection she carries. She gives them out to brighten peoples’ day. I signed a book for her son. My inscription? “Listen to your mother.” ❤️😻📚

They panic about fertility rates, say families need to be having more children, then they starve the kids and ensure health insurance is impossible to afford. Plus all the other things that would dissuade people from having kids: houses impossible to buy, diminishing middle class, ICE everywhere.

Breaking News: The Trump administration told states to undo any steps to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families, threatening financial penalties if the states do not comply. It was unclear how that would affect the program.

People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

A SSRS/CNN poll showing 61% people think Trump has gone too far using the power of the presidency and 57% think he's gone too far deporting immigrants.

I really enjoyed my first Buckeye Book Fair. Thanks to all the families and young readers who came out to chat with me about Spellbinders and their favorite books. I am so grateful for the support. 🥰📚

Yes, Republicans *want* to starve people, but how many people are aware of that? Just like they’ve used the shutdown as an opportunity to consolidate power in the executive, they’re also using it as a way to kill programs that they can’t vote out.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse. I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

This is so awesome! Thank you, @ttrpgkids.com! The second adventure was such a blast to write, and I loved splitting the party to explore their individual journeys. 🥰⚔️🎲 #ttrpg #mgbooks #gaming #kidlit #roleplayinggames
