Finishing Pats-Steelers film, and couldn't be more excited not to watch this Pittsburgh offense again. 1st-down run, 2nd-down RPO, 3rd-down Rodgers shot throw. Not moving Metcalf around the formation or motioning him while Gonzalez shadows him all day. So static, real boring, very bad. Blech.

NE had a small, impactful wrinkle on an early 3rd down. NE was in Cover 1 and showed it. LB Christian Elliss mirrored the motioning RB pre-snap, "confirming" his man assignment. Except Dre'Mont Jones had the RB and peeled at the snap. Elliss blitzed w/ Spillane and came free at Rodgers. Incomplete.

The #Patriots blitzed on 39% of their defensive snaps against Pittsburgh, allowed 0.78 yards per play when blitzing and had an 83% defensive success rate. The Steelers stink worse than I thought, but those numbers are *wow.* The formula is there.

Christian Barmore drew the holding penalty called the snap before his strip sack. Just a dominant two-play stretch for him.

That was Christian Barmore's first forced fumble since 2023. A massive sack for a guy who has come "thiiiis close" a lot over the last season-plus.

That delay of game penalty after the explosive pass to Doubs was a quiet killer. McDaniels talked about hurrying to the line and going up-tempo after explosives on Day 1 of OTAs. Not sure why they preferred to sub there and didn't go fast.

#Patriots S Craig Woodson (shoulder) is questionable to return. Jaylen Reed replaced him on that drive.

Not Hunter Henry's best block on that 3rd-and-1.
