My read is this new policy is violating DoD regs, if not Title 5 FOIA law. There’s a lot of muddle on what regulates these public releases. Regardless this is a major departure from decades of practice. apnews.com/article/medi...

If they target research funding again, I’m confident my union will once again win in court. Dhillon can take her ChatGPT allegations and go to hell.
It's a shame DOD/Centcom stopped crediting military photographers by name on the images and videos coming out of 5th fleet. These sailors and Marines are doing some great work and deserve more credit than "U.S. Navy photo."
