Oh, look. Another creator I've enjoyed for years started using AI generated thumbnails. Like, even if gen AI was ethical to use and wasn't harmful in any way... IT STILL LOOKS LIKE SHIT!!!

Rapier wit. Eclectic humor. Melodic bass voice. Pretty good meatloaf.
A friend mentioned DRAGONSWORD: AWAKENING. I went to the Steam page to read the product description. "Well that's a generic header," I said. "Wow, that's a mess of a first sentence." "The second is worse! This copy is shit. Did they use gen AI to write it?" ...yep. AI is shit. Stop using it.
PRIMATE - What if Cujo... had thumbs?!!! Rabid chimp kills the shit out of people. That's it. That's the movie. I wish all the kills were as gnarly as the first but sadly, most of the violence is obscured or off camera. Oh well. Still an entertaining enough 90 minutes.
Hey, my latest video's views equals my subscriber count. Neat! I wonder how many of those views are from the 12k+ people subscribed to my channel? ... Oh.
AAAAGGGGHHHH!!! Get it out, get it out! It's in my ears! It's in my eyes! "What?! What is in your ears and in your eyes?" Penny Lane! "...you see. This is why nobody likes you."
MORTAL KOMBAT II - Annihilation is a bad movie but at least it's entertaining, cheesy fun. This is a bad movie that's insufferably boring. Dull characters, bad visuals, and weak fights. Some clever choreography involving special powers and weapons but the fights are floaty and lack energy.
I started making YouTube vids in 2011. I hit 10k subscribers in Jan 2017. The following June, I had 11,333. Then YouTube did something that killed my channel growth. I just hit 12,336 subscribers. It took NINE YEARS to add another thousand.
THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE - "You're pushing 50. Here's a bunch of things you love from your childhood all crammed into one movie!" Yay! Good movie? No, but it's a very enjoyable one. It's colorful, energetic, funny and I sat there with a dopey grin on my face for 100 minutes.
When I was a child, I thought the Trojan horse plan was stupid. "Oh, come on!" I thought. "No one is stupid enough to fall for that and you're relying on EVERYONE being stupid enough to fall for that!" Now, as an adult, I look around and think, "Oh yeah, we'd totally fall for that."
To each their own but I am routinely flummoxed by the two or three people who inevitably show up in the comments these videos who seem to prefer a reaction format where I sit quietly and listen to the entire song while the performance video plays in the corner of the screen.

My, that's a big, gnarly-looking spider! I'll just grab something to collect it in so I can safely place it outside! *Grabs something from the kitchen* ...oh no. I've lost sight of it.
Sometimes I wonder how much of my life was spent searching for something I was already holding.
Haven't done one of these in a while! Here's my reaction to Bulgaria's winning performance from this year's EUROVISION SONG CONTEST! Dara - BANGARANGA

I filmed a reaction to this year's Eurovision Song Contest winner. I'll post it in the morning.
Honestly? I'm kinda surprised it's not a prequel about her mother. "Before Carrie, there was... MARGARET"

...? Are you fucking kidding me? "Uh, they played with Matchbox cars when they were kids so they drive good as adults!" I don't even give a shit about the IP and I'm offended by the laziness and apathy. Like, off the top of my head... CONTINUED>>>

"I was thinking about that movie Obsession I saw a few weeks back." Yeah? "You know what I think?" What? "If you really pay attention and think about it, the dude is not entirely sympathetic." Oh? "Yeah, it's subtle but it's there!" (I didn't make fun. Media literacy has to start somewhere.)
"Generative AI makes game development more efficient!" *Delays game to 2028*
"Before he was Scrooge, he was Ebenezer" What dipshits in charge of marketing this film don't know how NAMES work? Anyway, is meant to be a prequel? I mean, the Ghost of Christmas Past sequence IS Scrooge's backstory so what are you even doing? Continued...
"This broadcast uses an automated English subtitle system currently in testing. Translations may not fully reflect the original Japanese dialogue." Failed test, I'd say. That's embarrassingly bad.

I felt like I was being watched but it was probably just my imagination.
"Press button A and one person dies. Press button B and five people die. Do nothing and all six die! What do you do?" Dude, I spend most nights starting at my humongous backlog of unplayed video games, paralyzed by choice. What do you think is going to happen?
People ate THE STUFF because it was tasty. But imagine if everyone in the movie KNEW it was an extraterrestrial organism that ate you from the inside before bursting out and leaving behind an empty husk. Now imagine it tasted like SHIT. And everyone ate it anyway. That's generative AI.
We've streamlined the process and improved efficiency by placing an inaccurate and unreliable bot between you and us. We're very smart!
Well, the company that owns my apartment complex has jumped on the AI bandwagon and introduced an AI point of contact for questions, maintenance, and the like. Childish, perhaps, but it gave me a little thrill to block its email and phone number after receiving its introductory message and text.
Podcast time! (I've shut off Windows Updates so maybe the stream won't crash this time!)
